Sand concrete or sand-and-cement wall blocks (concrete blocks)
The source materials for the manufacture of concrete blocks are cement, sand and water. The production is carried out by semi-dry vibration compaction – all the necessary materials are put in special vibrant form, then they are compacted. Thanks to this method of manufacture and the use of raw materials of high quality, it is possible to obtain high-quality concrete blocks.Advantages of use of concrete blocks
The main difference of this material is an excellent sound insulation and heat insulation. Moreover, concrete blocks perfectly resist to aggressive environments. When using the optional filler, it is possible to significantly reduce the weight of structures. Excellent technical characteristics allow a wide use of concrete blocks for construction of interior partitions and exterior walls. The material can be also used in the construction of foundations, cellars, garages, fences and basements. Thus, low cost allows saving up to 30-40% of the expenses if compared with construction of brick buildings. Durability of building material is important as well – it perfectly withstands temperature extremes, rot and burning, and is also suitable for climates with high humidity. Technical characteristics of concrete blocks are very close to haydite blocks. The most important advantage of this building material is attractive, affordable price.
Abovementioned similarity with haydite blocks is not quite complete. Dense structure greatly increases the frost resistance in comparison with other building materials, but slightly worsens the performance of thermal conductivity. A very durable 40 cm wall of concrete blocks in the Northern latitudes will require additional insulation (if it is a residential building). But in any case, this material will be warmer than brick or simple concrete of standard design.
